Week 3

Hey friends! Sorry for a delayed post in the week, so I managed to get a ton of things changed up and fine tuned. So lets get into the details!

Update Details

First up, I went and edited/redo the landscape to have nice layers to them alongside with grass and flowers that are animated to go along with the natural winds. (The animations are also applied towards the trees)

Second, I really didn't like how the water coloration did not match the waterfall I made, so I ended up redoing the water in its entirety making it more clear, blue, and transparent. I also gave it shore lines when coming in contact with surfaces.

Third, the basic sky that was given to me in unreal looked... not fitting with my ideal of the game, so I tweaked the sky colorations and made my own clouds to fit the theme more.

Fourth, I placed cliffs and rocks around the edges of the map to act as a border.

Last, I added in the first real section (kind of) which is a mini village to where I would add NPC's at a later time.

Next tasks and future update

Adding other sections of the map for progression

Adding in sound after the game is built for certain area's

Adding in NPCs and AI enemies around the map

Now with the hard parts out of the way, I hopefully am able to create more and neat looking sections on the map for the player to explore as well as having simple AI's within the game.
